What is this

Y2KAM is a digital camera photobooth for your phone. It takes 6 photos in sequence and renders them onto a board styled like a Y2K-era camera roll — complete with vintage camera overlays, a retro colour treatment, and a timestamp on every shot.

How it works

  1. 01Allow camera access when prompted.
  2. 02Tap the shutter. A 3-second countdown runs, then the photo is taken. Repeat 6 times — a flash fires after each shot.
  3. 03Your board is generated. Each session gets a random layout, random camera frames, and a rarity roll.
  4. 04Tap any camera frame on the result board to cycle filters (none, cyber, warm, mono).
  5. 05Add stickers from the panel below the board. Drag them anywhere, pinch to resize/rotate, tap to remove. Stickers always stay on top of everything else.
  6. 06Choose a background — Light, Pink, or Dark — then save. The export is 1080×1920, includes your selected frame filters, and is ready for TikTok and Instagram Stories.

Rarity drops

Every session rolls a rarity. Most of the time you get common. Sometimes you get lucky.

90%
Common

Off-white board, standard camera frames.

9%
Rare

One random slot gets a warm cream tint and a gold shadow.

1%
Ultra

Pearl board with iridescent colour washes and a radial glow behind the centre frame.

Privacy

Your photos never leave your device. Everything — capture, rendering, and export — happens locally in your browser. No photos are uploaded to any server.
